Feature Suggestions

Make tailoring more worthwhile by giving bonuses to skills when certain clothes are used. Also make clothes degradable needing a tailor to repair them. The tailor needs to feel more appreciated.

It would be nice to have an option to buy or sell resources that belong to a certain tag, like buying "rock tag" buys all kind of rocks. Would help to improve shop accessability.

sometimes in order to vent exhaust, or to bring water in , you need to leave gaping holes in walls, floors, and ceilings, give us a block that has a pipe through the middle of it with the open space plugged with either different materials, or metal in order to improve aesthetics.

I am loving the new boats.... can we have trains next please!

Currently there's the drying rack for producing dried fish, but how about some other food preservation options: Canning (corn, beans, soup, fish, meat) Bottling (glass + sugar + fruit = jam) Salting (meats) Pickling (veggies) Preserved foods would generally have lower food values and cost more to make, but last longer. Canned foods would require metal (ideally tin/aluminum, but could use steel). Eating canned food could generate an empty can object, which you'd need to dispose of or ideally recycle (late game).

I sort my storages differently per crafting table. In campfires, I have iceboxes and silos at the top and stockpiles at the bottom. I almost NEVER want to see power storages in crafting tables. Why would I EVER want my carpentry table to suck logs out of my campfire power? If I had a tick box for categories of storage and could sort them by name or tag it would help enormously! You could have 3 categories of storage: Power / utility storage (like consumables for campfires, gas for vehicles, etc.) Main storage - chests Main storage - stockpiles You could also have tags for each storage - either with user-definable tags or pre-defined ones or both (preferably). You could make tags that would filter storage with keywords like: Cooking (applied to raw food storages like iceboxes and chests) Masonry (applied to chests and stockpiles) Tailoring (applied to chests and stockpiles) And so-on. Also important - setting input vs output storage. I should be able to set a storage as "Input for carpentry" and apply that to certain stockpiles and chests from which I want to draw resources. I should be able to set an "Output for carpentry" to chests or stockpiles where I want those finished products to go - which might include storage that is tagged as "Source for Sales in Store 1" or something.

Give clothing durability, similar to how food decays atm. It would give tailor more of a permanent role. Since now it suffers from building every type of clothing once and never doing it again unless new people join in. It should keep the need for cotton etc up, stimulating the economy

Currently a large portion of the game is focused around gaining XP through eating better food and living in better homes, but XP does only one thing: provide you with stars. This very often stops being an incentive by the time high XP items are available, as people typically have more than enough to do with just 3 or 4 stars. If XP were used for more general gameplay, it would increase the importance of this mechanic and make better food and housing desirable to more people and for the entirety of the game cycle. One example of how this might be done is an XP upkeep for running workbenches (as well as their respective upgrades), so you are only able to have so many workbenches and upgrades in operation at a time according to how much XP bonus you have.

give us the ability to send and receive mail offline. have it be a feature only possible when you craft a mailbox so folks can leave mail for you if they need something or are trying to communicate when schedules dont line up.
