Currently there's the drying rack for producing dried fish, but how about some other food preservation options:
  • Canning (corn, beans, soup, fish, meat)
  • Bottling (glass + sugar + fruit = jam)
  • Salting (meats)
  • Pickling (veggies)
Preserved foods would generally have lower food values and cost more to make, but last longer.
Canned foods would require metal (ideally tin/aluminum, but could use steel). Eating canned food could generate an empty can object, which you'd need to dispose of or ideally recycle (late game).
