As of the moment torches with "live fire" (campfires, braziers) are exponentially brighter than the refined oil fuels (eg. tallow lamps series). The latter needs to be significantly brighter given the higher room value that they give, and that a 5x5x5 room should be sufficiently lit with only one or two of them.
