Scaffolding
Jan Melcher
I think scaffolding similar to Minecraft would benefit Eco in building larger structures before you have access to the crane. It would be made out of wood and behave similar to hewn logs / lumber, but with the following differences:
- You can climb it vertically like a ladder
- You can traverse lit horizontally easily (unlike a ladder)
- You can remove multiple blocks of it easily (if the building system allow for this)
- Removing it requires fewer calories than removing regular blocks
- It would look like scaffolding, so buildings under construction would look more natural

I would use this to draw an outline for where I want the walls of my builds to go, then decide if I like the positioning. I built a curved stonehenge on my last server and this would've been a great tool to make sure everything looks symmetrical.
Additional suggestion (if the building system allows it), scaffolding blocks can be replaced with a building block (stone/wood/etc) which takes less calories. If I use scaffolding to build an outline of my buildings, it makes sense to me that I could replace the scaffolding blocks with my desired building material in one click (as opposed to tearing down the scaffolding and placing the blocks in the same location).

I think this would be too complex. The way it works now is fine
