This would be massive, seems simple enough to implement, adds variety and I think if combined with a skid steer equivalent for tree chopping… would make for an amazing opportunity to diversify skill paths. I think the jungle grow-back rate could be nerfed a bit too.

More alternative sources for materials is always great for economies to help balance prices. Works well in Eco to give the jungle another source of income with cooking oil and biodiesel.
