Add an option at world creation to have a starting currency
Keith Breau
Lack of a starting currency is one of the biggest world killers in my experience. In a game that forces you to collaborate, credits just don't cut it and it just takes too long to get to currency. Alternatively, making currency obtainable earlier in the game (such as with just hewn logs and iron materials) would also alleviate this issue.

I think this should be an option that server owners would have to actively turn ON when initially building a server. It shouldn't be on by default.

I have always been against a unified government since the start of the game, I believe that people should build such an institution as part of the gameplay, but the ability to disable personal currency is a useful feature that gives players a feel for the time when only barter existed.

Sounds a bit... authoritarian :D So everything relies on the admins to control the currency?

money standard server option

In many servers, you can observe that the server abruptly stops functioning when there is no default currency. Servers that establish a currency system at the beginning have a higher chance of survival. Could a default currency system be incorporated into the server options so that, for example, the admin coin is standard.
(In 2500 v.Chr, was silver the currency.)

It's a weird one as despite how putting something like this in would go against the vision of the game, on the other hand a lot of servers (including one official) do this, so perhaps some way built into game itself is needed as that is what the players want and would use.

i love this idea, would also help on servers like WT where you are only allowed to use the single currency anyway
